At first glance, this turquoise Zuni corn maiden is simply a beautiful Zuni carving. On closer inspection, we see that the Zuni carver, Michael Laweka, has incorporated a baby on the front of the carving and a second baby on the reverse side.  Both are presented in traditional Zuni cradle boards.
