Talia Quandelacy fossil Zuni corn maiden fetish carving.
This slender fossil corn maiden was carved by Talia Quandelacy, Zuni, who also inlayed the accents of turquoise, coral and jet. The fragmentation of the fossilized material is not accidental. Talia selected the specimen in “as is” condition and included it in the final carving. The base is turquoise.
Zunilink acquired this unique corn maiden directly from Talia Quandelacy. At the time, in 2007, Talia was departing to enter medical school, a career choice she made with the knowledge that the demands studying would have on her time meant she would not be able to carve for a period.
