When Salvador Romero sensed the spirit of the coiled snake in this stone harvested from the ground near his Cochiti home, he knew what to do with it.

The outcome was this “ceremonial” snake bowl. It’s 5” in diameter by 1/2” thick.

Put a little bit of crushed turquoise or corn meal in it and who knows what happens next.
